Paris Haute Couture FW 14/15 - Elie Saab (vogue.fr)

Elie Saab's Palais des Lumières was a gorgeous collection of after dark dresses. On a chandelier decorated catwalk, blues, pinks, blushes, soft golds, blacks, whites and grays paraded with the grace the heavy pearl embellishments allowed the models. There's no doubt the visual effect was as pretty as it could be, and, as usually, a lot of those gowns were fit for the most elegant princesses of these days.

The ombré effects, from lighter shades of beige and blue to black looked divine on floating goddess dresses, made winter appropriate by lavish furs (hopefully faux) slippering through the models shoulders. The white, light gray and ice blue gowns exhaled a remarkable frozen beauty. Some tiny floral prints were superbly feminine and elegant on coral pink princess gowns, which added a very welcome warmth to the whole collection.
