|Paris Haute Couture FW 14/15 - Giambattista Valli (vogue.fr)|
Elegant, youthful, eclectic, vibrant, eccentric. Five words to sum up the alluring extravaganza that took place at Giambattista Valli's catwalk.
Inspired by the outstanding Alhambra gardens, in the south of Spain, Valli pumped up his unique designs with a playful, super modern styling.
Zigzagging throughout the catwalk, wearing striped boyish pajamas (or fine hotel sheets?), white champagne napkins on the head, funny sunglasses (to block the mesmerizing morning sun) and extravagant big tulle skirts in candy, the models were perfect party girls still putting themselves together after a long, long night. That charming, almost amusingly decadent scene could have been a little too eccentric. However, it was nicely put together by grown up narrow pencil skirts, pretty demure tops and crisp cotton shirts, paired with the most brilliant items. This season, Valli cracked the code to greeting the new generation of couture consumers!
