10 Crosby Derek Lam SS14

New York was drenched in white. Almost every runway, from the coldest minimalistics to the dreamy romantics, had a few head-to-toe white emsembles to show.
In most cases, the designers played with different fabric textures and densities to break what could have turned into massive stone cold white blocks. Anyway, they pulled it off. And how! Some designers took advantage of the marvelous crispyness of white cottons and thick fabrics. Others preferred taking it to other dimentions, creating soft pleats and delicate transparencies that welcomed light and shaddow to play around. Others thought our old white friend needed a little extra spark and dazzled us with magnificent laces, embroideries and all sorts of embellishments!
White is the ultimate summer colour and suits everyone. I know it might not be easy for all of us to embrace a total white outfit with confidence, but why not giving it a try? We have a whole winter to think about it ;)

 Crisp & Clean

New York Fashion Week SS14

Purely minimalistic looks defined by a strong sense of volume and geometry. The shapes are architectonic, whether they follow the human anatomy or not.

Soft Shades of White

This is most romantic white can be. Floating skirts and capes, delicate blouses, lots of precious pleats and suggestive tranparencies. I'm already seeing myself falling in love with these beauties next spring!

All shimmery embellishiments were called in and used with moderation over minimal designs.  Shining bright like a diamond, day and night!
